Recipe Compote with Apples and Lemon:

Ingredients:

4 apples, sliced
1 lemon, sliced into rings
1.5 liters of water
1 cup sugar (to taste)
1 cinnamon stick
3-4 cloves

Instructions:

Put the sliced apples and lemon in a large saucepan.

Add water.

Put the pan on medium heat.

Add sugar to taste.

Put the cinnamon and cloves.

Bring the contents to a boil.

Reduce the heat and let the compote cook for 15-20 minutes, until the fruit becomes soft.

If desired, remove the cinnamon and cloves.

Cool the compote before serving.

Serve in glasses or a jug, adding ice for coolness if necessary.
